Phoenix Automotive Cores - Leveling the Playing Field

The scenario probably sounds familiar – a new core buyer walks into your establishment, flashing cash. He gets your attention and you decide to show him your catalytic converters. He tosses out some good prices and some names you haven’t heard before, and you ultimately accept the deal. But in retrospect, you find yourself wondering if he short-changed you in the end and are uneasy about the whole deal. If this has happened to you, rest assured you’re not alone. Variations of this scenario have played out across the country, time after time, in recent years. Isn’t it time someone levels the playing field?
At Phoenix Automotive Cores, we’ve developed a brand new, web-based system to put control in the automotive recyclers’ hands. Our new program provides you with a tool you can utilize to inventory, value and track converters, and monitor how the precious metals markets affect the value of your cats. We call this innovative new program Kwik-Cat.
The Kwik-Cat program puts an end to the “name games” people play in the converter business. Gone are the days of calling converters such names as “Olive Oil,” “Longhorn,” or “Octopus.” Kwik-Cat will help in identifying both names and categories of the different types of converters with a year, make and model search feature. But say you don’t know the year, make and model of a particular converter – no problem! Our catalog is full of photos and visual aids that make it easy for you to identify your converters’ correct categories. After all, knowledge is power and arming yourself with the knowledge that Kwik-Cat can provide will give you the confidence to know and control your inventory.
But perhaps the name game isn’t your problem. Maybe you have a disappearing inventory. Well, Kwik-Cat can help with that as well! Industry wide, we conservatively estimate a minimum of 5% of catalytic converter inventory leaves out the back door. That’s roughly 3.6 million dollars in converters vanishing without a trace. Kwik-Cat will allow you to build an accounting of your inventory so you’ll know exactly what cats you’ve pulled, who pulled them and where they are. No more wondering what happened to specific converters. Now you’ll know precisely what cats you have and what they’re worth!
